NORTH SIDE FENCE - MYNYDD Y BETWS 9 JUNE 2012: WALKIING THE WINDMILL PLANTATION FENCE ON THE SOUTH SIDE PLANED PROTEST ACTION FOLLOWING THE 'BETWS BARRICADE' (See Previous Post) - PURPOSE TO HANG ON THIS FENCE AS MUCH IN WAY OF PROTEST BANNERS, PLACARDS and POSTERS also Black Ribbons and Bunches of Ivy in Memory of Our Cymric Dead who Fought To Liberate These Lands 1282 - 1334.

This was intended to be a photo feature but I have used up by Photo Allocation Space on Blogger, So instead I have to use my fb for these photos.

Pwysig Iawn

I walked this North Side, on Sunday after days of rain and it was very wet also the North Side is very 'Glumpy' plus another obsticle to a straight forward walk from 'Trig' across the common and through the 'RED GATES' of the Windmill Plantation on towards Penlle'r Gaer is that they have started laying out Turbine Foundations and these are scattered all over on the North Side of the Barb Wired Fence which makes of it very much as a maze of WWI Frontlines. All of which makes the walking around to get to the 'RED GATES' quite a walk and pretty tiresome for people of age as myself (Though I have been out with Y Gwerin Owain/Glyndwr Ramblers Red Stags and am pretty fit despite ocaisional growing old aches, pains and diabetes) it would for young children. Thus I suggest youths and young men/women take the long hard route to carry out the Agit - Prop Activity on the Northern Fence whilst others may follow this suggestion: Proceed from 'Trig' to the first close by 'Turbine Foundation' then turn to right and head along the shorter Northern Fence Route back to the main Mountain Road Entrence where the 'Betws Barricade' is being held in which you may participate or turn right and proceed back to the Viewing Station.

NB:

Of course, on the day even this route will have to be checked out as ok for Older People and Young Children, this is essential as do not come back on me regards your own 'Health and Safty' obligations at all times over these three days of 'Occupation of Mynydd y Betws'.
